An immersive seminar of art, music, and poetry Sunday, March 23rd, 11am ET/8am PT
Tamara de Lempicka blossomed in the 1920's Paris art scene, but she did not follow the contemporary trends of exploring abstract and absurdist art. She thought Picasso's Cubism was ugly, and she wanted to paint beauty, and and sensuality, and passion. In a time when non-representational art was all the rage, she dared to focus on the human form. In this in-depth seminar, we will immerse ourselves in a few of her most powerful works and integrate contemporaneous music, poetry, and drama to help us see the richness of her art.
